Anita B. Reny
OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Anita B. Reny, 89, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at Seal Rock Health Care. Surrounded by the love of her family. We all deeply appreciate the nurses and the staff for the compassionate care they provided.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, on March 26, 1936, to Renaldo and Leatetia Beaulieu. Anita graduated from Lewiston High School and married Roger Reny, sharing more than 60 years of marriage.
Anita was predeceased by her husband Roger; her son Richard, who sadly passed in December; her parents, Renaldo and Leatetia Beaulieu; her sister Madeline Beaulieu; and her brother-in-law André, whom she lovingly cared for over many years.
She is survived by her children Michael Reny and his wife Fern of Arizona; daughter-in-law Penny Reny of Saco; Roland Reny and his wife Sharon of Saco; and Steven Reny and his wife Joyce of Biddeford.
She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, known lovingly as “Mémère.” Her grandchildren include Chelsea and Shawn Hall, Ashlie and Douglas Gagnon, Derek and Bekah Reny, Nick Reny, Zachery Reny, Haley Reny, Nate Reny, and Alex Reny. She was especially proud of her newest great-granddaughter, Natalie Reny, and also adored her other great-grandchildren: Lucas and Brayden Hall, Bryce and Brody Gagnon, Paytyn Klippert-Reny, and Sierra Patoine.
Anita worked for many years in the Old Orchard Beach school lunch program and also served as a cheerleading advisor. She loved cooking for her family, especially her famous crepes. Another favorite pastime was watching her grandchildren play sports alongside her beloved Pépère.
Anita cherished her summers in Old Orchard Beach, where she worked for local motels and Palace Playland. She always held a special love for her beach community.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. at Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home in Saco, with a funeral mass on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 1 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Church, Old Orchard Beach.
Forever loved and always in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine in memory of her son Richard Reny, who sadly passed from Alzheimer’s in December.
