Raymond Alvin Coffin

AUBURN – Raymond Alvin Coffin, 83, of Auburn, son of Eva and Alvin Coffin, passed away peacefully in hospice on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born and raised in Maine, Ray attended Edward Little High School and the Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, and later became a technician for AT&T and New England Telephone.

Ray was an avid photographer who also enjoyed auto racing at Beech Ridge Speedway, playing old standard songs on his organ, and raising a string of cherished miniature dogs.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Simpson; his son, Todd Coffin, and his wife, Nancy, and his grandchildren, Zoe and Xander; his son, Gregg Coffin and his husband Joe; and Tracy Callahan and Robin Cushman, daughters of his predeceased partner, Barbara Cushman.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco.
