Five different players scored as the Maine Mariners handed the Reading Royals their first regulation loss of the season with a 5-1 victory Sunday at Cross Insurance Arena.
Jacob Perreault had a goal and two assists as Maine extended its point streak to five games (3-0-1-1). Alex DiPaolo, Zach Massicotte, Robert Cronin and Ty Gallagher scored for the Mariners (4-1-1-1), with DiPaolo earning his first professional goal.
Cam Cook scored a shorthanded goal for Reading (5-1-1-0).
The Mariners registered 40 shots for the second straight game, while goalie Luke Cavallin made 25 saves for his fourth win of the season.
