On Saturday, Oct. 18, I attended the No Kings rally in Saco. I know some felt it could be dangerous or at least threatening. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The crowds were so positive, both in feeling good about being there and positive that it was right and necessary. The whole experience was uplifting and even joyful. We were all there because we love our country and want to defend all that is good about our democracy.
Seeing the president’s response of him wearing a crown and a gas mask while flying over crowds and dumping excrement on them certainly strengthened my resolve. That was truly a repulsive display by the president of the United States. We are better than that.
