Lillian Christina (Kerr) Haversat
WARREN – Lillian Christina Kerr Haversat, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025 at the Grande at South Portland. She was most recently a resident of Warren, Maine.
Born Jan. 12, 1938, Lillian was the eldest child of Ruthven Stuart Kerr and Christina Kasfeldt. She graduated from Seymour High School (Connecticut) in 1955. From 1955 to 1960 she worked at Waterman Pen Company.
In 1960, Lillian married James “Jim” Haversat. In the late 1960s they moved to Essex Center, Vt., before settling in Jericho, Vt. in 1970. Lillian and Jim also loved Maine, and from 1971, onward, they split their time between Jericho, Vt. and Warren.
Over the course of her life, Lillian ran a flower shop, she was an art dealer, and she worked at the Fleming Museum in Burlington, Vt. She also volunteered extensively, including the Vermont Republicans, the Knox County Museum (in Thomaston), the Union Fair and Cushing Days. Later in life, she became a writer and had many poems and short stories published. Storytelling was her passion.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Jim, who died in 2010.
Lillian leaves behind her children and stepchildren, Charly Haversat Matheson (Jack Matheson) of Cushing, Ray Haversat (Susan Miller Haversat) of Windham, Kerry Haversat Tillson (Rick Tillson) of Windsor, Vt., and Eric Haversat (Patty Haversat) of Tewksbury, Mass. She also leaves a host of grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Kelsey Matheson Daly, Parker Matheson, Theo Matheson; Adam Haversat, Noah Haversat; Cory Tillson, Jay Tillson; Jocelyn Haversat, Jake Haversat; and Lucy Tillson.
Lillian leaves several siblings and friends, Cindy Tulacro, Joe Kasfeldt, Kris Kasfeldt, Nancy Blasco, and her friends Eunice, Darla; and niece, Shari.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Grande at South Portland and the Hospice of Southern Maine for their excellent care of Lillian in her final days.
Burial will be private.
