I am writing to enthusiastically support the recreation bond that will be on the ballot in Biddeford. Our parks, trails, beaches and athletic facilities are assets in which we should regularly invest to provide as many opportunities as possible for people — young and old — to remain active and healthy.
In addition to this bond possibly supporting Clifford Park, May Field, St. Louis Field, the Community Center and the Biddeford Ice Arena, there could also be funds available for investing in a new skate park, all for what amounts to about $3 per month for the average taxpayer.
Thanks to Council President Liam LaFountain and the whole council who voted to send this bond to the voters. I believe this will benefit our community for years to come, so please join me in voting to approve the recreation bond and ensuring that Biddeford remains a great place to live.
