Robert J. Finley
SCARBOROUGH – Robert and Verna Finley beloved couple married 74 years passed away, days apart surrounded by their family. They met in 1950 working at Bendix aviation. Bob was a sales engineer for John Crane for 25 years and Verna a bookkeeper and devoted mother.
They raised three children in New Jersey and then Maine. Upon retiring, they bought a house on Little Sebego where there were too many memories to count with their children and grandchildren. They also spent 25 winters in Hawaii together where they met amazing friends.
They are survived by their son Jim and his wife Rhonda, son Bill, and his wife, Claire and daughter Nancy and her partner Jerry along with eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. We all know that they are together now on Waikiki Beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian smiling and holding hands.
