Glenna W. Trask

SCARBOROUGH – Glenna W. Trask passed away on Oct. 9, 2025, at Gosnell House in Scarborough.

Glenna and her twin brother, Glen, were born on Jan. 9, 1933, at their grandparent’s house in East Stoneham.

Glenna graduated from Edward Little High School in 1952 then entered Central Maine General to study Nursing. While there, her classmate Betty Trask introduced her to Ormond “Bud” Trask. Glenna and Bud dated for four years until they got married on Feb. 19, 1956. They were happily married until Bud’s passing in November 2020.

She loved cooking for her family, camping, bowling, reading, crafting and painting, and going to her kids and grandkids sporting events.

She worked as an RN at the Webber Hospital and then at SMHC until her retirement in 1998. Then she and Bud drove across the U.S. to Alaska. After returning from their trip to Alaska, she began working for her daughter (Joanne) at Arundel Antiques. She worked there for 15 years.

Glenna was predeceased by Bud and her four siblings (Glen Wight, Edmund Barker, Chester Barker and Eleanor Mccaffrey).

She is survived by their five children: Jane Trask (Mike Butler), Joanne Cacciapaglia (Tony), Judy Maguire (Rich), Jim Trask (Sandy) and Jennifer Jones (Steve). Nine grandchildren (Christopher, Mariah, Ben, Erin, Rob, Aisha, Steve, Kerry and Cam) and 12 great-grandchildren, two sister-in-law’s Beverly True and Lavonia Wight and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private, family graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, Saco is entrusted with her services.
