Singer-songwriters Patty Griffin and Rickie Lee Jones are in the middle of a co-headlining tour that includes a stop in Griffin’s home state. Old Town native Griffin released her 12th album, “Crown of Roses,” last summer. Jones’ discography dates back to 1979, and includes 15 albums. Her latest is 2023’s “Pieces of Treasure.” Both artists are Grammy winners.

Air Supply

The powerhouse Australian soft rock duo of Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell have been performing as Air Supply for five decades. Help them celebrate by grabbing a ticket to the Portland show. You’ll be lost in love but also all out of love, and will love every moment.

‘Deathtrap’

For a play packed with plot twists and huge laughs, catch City Theater’s production of Ira Levin’s comedy/thriller “Deathtrap.” With fame and money on the line, a playwright welcomes a young writer into his home to chat about a script. Deception and betrayal ensue, along with suspense and plenty of belly laughs.

Taylor Swift Dance Party

It’s Taylor Swift’s world, we’re just living in it. Live the dream at a Taylor Swift dance party, where you can expect to hear plenty of songs from her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” along with a bunch of other Swift tunes. Friendship bracelets are optional, but enthusiasm isn’t. Expect to sing, dance, scream and revel in the glow of being in a room full of Swifties.
Gear Again Festival & Market

Maine GearShare presents its annual event where you can shop for gently used tents, sleeping bags, backpacks and other camping equipment. The day also features a maker’s market with an array of sustainability-minded local vendors. There will also be a repair station set up where you can get outdoor gear repaired for free. If you’re in the market for a new-to-you set of wheels, host Portland Gear Hub is simultaneously holding its fall bike sale.
Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival

For a whole lot of fun that features thousands of fall’s favorite orange orbs, head to the Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival in downtown Freeport. The schedule includes live music from Gnarly Darling and Roxy by Proxy, and other entertainment. There will also be a kids’ costume parade and plenty of treats. All funds raised go toward Camp Sunshine’s mission to provide hope, joy and community through experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
’90s Prom Night with Hello Newman

It’s time to bring back the ’90s, at least for one night. ’90s Prom Night is a dance party packed with ’90s trivia, prizes, improv comedy and, best of all, live music from longtime local cover band Hello Newman. You can expect ’90s gems from bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Cranberries, Semisonic, Green Day and Jimmy Eat World, among many others. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Taylor James Steeves Foundation, an organization that raises funds for patients with genetic lung cancer. Wearing ’90s fashion is encouraged, so bust out those flannel shirts, plaid skirts and tracksuits.

Maine Mariners

The home opener for the Maine Mariners is a Sunday afternoon game against the Reading Royals. The quest for the Kelly Cup happens one puck drop at a time, and the action continues into April. Maine Mariners games are always fun and exciting, especially when brawls break out on the ice, or a skater breaks away and scores a righteous goal.
