Clarence Donald Hamilton
PORTLAND – C. Donald Hamilton, 93, of Portland, passed away in his home on Sept. 28, 2025. He was cared for by his children in the final weeks of his illness.
Donald was born in Brewer on May 7, 1932. He attended Bangor High School, Bates College, and earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine. He worked for 32 years designing bridges for the Maine DOT.
Donald is survived by his companion, Virginia Toner of Portland; his four children, Julie Hamilton, Polly Mahoney, Chris Hamilton, and Eric Hamilton; his brother James Hamilton; former wife, Nancy Bryant Nutt; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral to be held on Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church on Center Street in Bangor. His obituary may be read at https://www.brookingssmith.com/obituaries.
