Four players scored for the Morse boys soccer team (5-2) in a 4-1 road win over Gardiner on Tuesday.
The Shipbuilders took a 2-0 lead into halftime after goals by Charlie Thelen and Lawson Mayer, with assists from Peyton Price and Austin Wood.
Christian Hallowell scored off a pass from Eli Sommers in the 42nd minute. Alejandro Estaben scored Morse’s final goal with 9:32 remaining, assisted by Milton Paulo.
Brady Peacock scored for the Tigers with 11:55 remaining.
TUESDAY’S GIRLS SOCCER
MORSE 2, GARDINER 1: Emma Wallace scored on a 25-yard direct kick with 1:47 remaining to give the Shipbuilders (5-1-1) a win over the Tigers (6-2) in Bath.
Forty-eight seconds into the game, Zoe Nicholson scored Morse’s first goal. Molly Takatsu tied it less than five minutes later.
TUESDAY’S FIELD HOCKEY
MT. ARARAT 1, BREWER 0: Stella McBrady scored the only goal as the Eagles (5-2-1) defeated the Witches (3-3-1) in Topsham.
Krystah Coen recorded an assist.
Jaymie Bergman stopped three shots for Mt. Ararat. Brewer’s Abbie Derosier made nine saves.
FREEPORT 5, POLAND 0: Liza Flower scored four goals to lift the Falcons (7-0) past the Knights (1-5) in Poland.
Lizalyn Boudreau was the other goal scorer.
Isabella Billings made 10 saves for Poland.
MONDAY’S FIELD HOCKEY
CONY 9, MORSE 0: Casey Monson had four goals and an assist as the Rams (4-5) cruised over the Shipbuilders (2-6) in Bath.
Helen Dineen added three goals and two assists for Cony. Gabrielle Vachon and Kennedy Dube both also scored twice. Vachon added two assists. Courtney Ramage made two saves.
Olivia Mixon had 22 saves for Morse.
