SCARBOROUGH – Mary passed away on Sept. 10, 2025.
Born on March 23, 1923, in Berlin, N.H., and one of nine children, Mary was the daughter of Joseph Ulric and Rose Pelletier.
A graduate of the Berlin High School class of 1941, Mary received a BS in Nursing from the Maine Eye and Ear School of Nursing in 1945 and worked as a RN until 1954.
In 1948 she married Richard F Kilroy, and they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage.
Mary loved skiing, golf, and bridge and enjoyed painting especially watercolors.
She was a member of Portland Country Club and Palm Aire Country Club in Sarasota, Fla., and was active in the Women of Rotary. Mary volunteered for many years at Maine Medical Center’s cardiac clinic.
Mary was predeceased by her parents and husband and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah J. Kilroy of Winthrop, Mass., and her partner, Robert Stein, and her son, Robert R. Kilroy of Charlotte, N.C., and his wife, Diane J. Kilroy, and her grandsons, Callan J. Kilroy and Kyle P. Kilroy of New York, New York, and several nieces and nephews.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland was private.
