Antique Tractor Plow Days

The two-day annual Antique Tractor Plow Days is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12, at Parsons Farm, 321 Buck St., Gorham. A display of vintage tractors and implements will show what they can do in action on a corn field 2,000 feet in length.

Admission is free.

Breakfast will be available from 7 to 10 a.m. each day with pancakes and sandwiches in the sugar shack; lunch is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with burgers, hot dogs and maple glazed fried dough, all day.

Baby cows and mini horses will be on hand for visiting and local vendors will have vegetables available.

Land trust to meet

Presumpscot Regional Land Trust will conduct its annual meeting and business meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, on Zoom.

The land trust is also hosting its annual in-person celebration at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at Randall Orchards, 1 Randall Road in Standish.

Fall brush drop-off reminder

Public Works will accept brush from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on two Saturdays, Oct. 4 and Oct. 18, at the town garage at 80 Huston Road.

The drop-off is restricted to residents only, no commercial drop-off.

Stumps will not be accepted, but leaves and grass clippings are accepted in the designated area throughout the season.

Historians to meet

Gorham Historical Society will meet at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at its headquarters and museum in the Mosher Barn at 28 Cherry Hill Road.
