A 46-year-old Glenburn man was found shot to death inside a Corinth apartment early Sunday, the Maine State Police said.

Scott Roberts’ death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy conducted Monday at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the state police said.

Troopers received multiple 911 calls early Sunday reporting gunshots in the area of 272 Main St. in Corinth, a small town in Penobscot County.

When troopers arrived, they found an injured man outside of the building. He was taken by LifeFlight to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, police said.

Troopers found Roberts’ body when they went into an apartment they believed was connected to the incident, police said.

No arrests have been made, but police say the shooting was an isolated incident and they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jake Ferland at 207-973-3700.
