Beatrice Alice Jackson
SOUTH PORTLAND – Beatrice Alice Jackson, 94, passed away peacefully at home, in South Portland, on Sept. 19, 2025.
Beatrice was born on July 19, 1931, in Lewiston, daughter of Delphis and Florestine Laliberte.
Upon graduating from Lewiston High School, Beatrice moved to Washington, D.C. She married Boyce Jackson on June 28, 1958. After having three children in the D.C. area, they moved back to Lewiston where they raised their family.
Beatrice worked at BC/BS in Washington, D.C. Back in Maine she worked at National Fuel Co, Lewiston, and CMMC Hospital, Lewiston. She retired at 65 and moved to Cape Elizabeth and then to the Betsy Ross House in South Portland.
She was active in Girl Scouts, she was an avid card player and loved to read and knit.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Deborah Komich and spouse Michael of South Portland, son, Anthony Jackson and spouse Linda Fraini of Alaska; grandson, Ryan Komich and spouse Stephanie of Cape Cod; granddaughter, Kelsey Komich-Garcia and spouse Gustavo Garcia of Washington D.C.; great grandchildren, Scarlett and Augustus Komich of Cape Cod.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her loving spouse, Boyce Jackson, married for 66 years; son, Bradley Jackson of Natick, Mass.; her parents, Delphis and Florestine Laliberte of Lewiston; brother, Robert Laliberte, sisters Lorraine Fournier and Gertrude Laliberte.
The Mass will be Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Holy Cross Church in South Portland, Maine at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Beatrice’s name to the Hospice of Southern Maine in Scarborough.
