Ole Jaeger

GEORGETOWN – Ole Jaeger, 90, died on Sept. 13, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

Born and married in Denmark, Ole moved to America in 1960. He and his wife, Sandy, built a life in New York and New Jersey, one that would include four children and days filled with hands-on work at home and volunteerism in their communities. A true renaissance man by trade and by hobby, there was no task Ole couldn’t conquer. Ole and Sandy retired in Georgetown in 1996 where they continued their community-driven work and family-centric life.

A lover of real Christmas trees lit by real candles, a devoted activist for innumerable causes, and, above all, a man who cherished his family, Ole will be remembered as the best of us by his extensive family and friends. The last words that he spoke were: “Building my family has been the greatest love in my life.”

Ole is survived by his wife, Sandy; his children, Eric, Carl and husband Leo, Joseph and wife Tara, and Anna Sofia; as well as many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
