
Speers Gallery at Kennebunk Free Library will host “Local Color” by the Art Guild of the Kennebunks. The exhibit runs Oct. 3-30, with a reception scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, from
2 to 4 p.m. All are welcome.
The Art Guild of the Kennebunks is a juried group of local artists and will present a variety of perspectives of local color depicting Maine. Paintings are in multiple mediums including oil, pastel, acrylic, and watercolor. Each artist has included a piece of their artwork that they relate their topic or inspiration to Maine.
Participating artists include Barbara Berry, Suzanne Demeo, John Forssen, Wendy Gallart, Mary Elizabeth Grady, Hara Harding, Steve Hrehovcik, Mary Ann Kennedy, Cheryl Lunde, Bruce McMillan, Sue Mesick, Susan Colburn Motta, Nora Ordway, Ellen Pelletier, Linda Van Tassell, Nancy Van Tassell, Jan Van Tassel, Richard Winslow, Hillary Zayed and Laurel Ziehl.
The public is invited to view the exhibit in Speers Gallery from Oct. 3-30 at 112 Main St., Kennebunk, during regular library hours when the gallery is not in use for library programs.
