Constance Ronan Demers

SCARBOROUGH – Constance Irene Demers, 89, of Scarborough, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at home with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 31, 1936 in Milford, the daughter of the late Clayton and Cynthia (Reed) Ronan. Connie grew up in South Portland. She first worked at the New England Telephone Company where she met the love of her life, Conrad, who she was married to for 53 years. Together they settled in Portland, raising three wonderful children.

Connie was an endearing, supportive, and caring woman who would do anything for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had tremendous love and pride for her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her son Stephen Demers and his wife, Cynthia, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., and their two children, Alexander, of Boston, and Abigail of Tampa, Fla.; daughter Sharon Lynde and her husband, Jerry of Scarborough, son Scott Demers and his wife, Christine Canning of Georgetown, Mass.; and sister Carol Clancy of Lynn Haven, Fla.

The family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care she received from the Hospice of Southern Maine.

At Connie’s request, family services will be held privately. To share memories and condolences with the family, please go to http://www.athutchins.com.
