Tyler Robert Vercoe
WESTBROOK – Tyler Robert Vercoe, 47, of Westbrook passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2025. He was born in Barre, Vt. on Jan. 25, 1978.
He spent his younger years at South Portland schools and then attended Scarborough Middle School and High School. Following graduation, Tyler spent nearly 30 years as a builder/carpenter contractor. He was always building something!
Tyler loved nature and being outdoors. He started downhill skiing at Sugarloaf at 4 and spent many weekends for years with dear friends. He was hooked for life, and he was an avid outdoorsman. He was especially proud of Parker (20), Myla (17) and Viannah (14) and the direction they are going in.
Tyler had numerous friends. He was very hospitable and would entertain any number of them with an exceptional meal as he was a phenomenal cook. He would always lend a hand when needed. He cherished his friendships.
Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Marilyn Nisbet and Earle and Esty Johnson; and uncle, Paul Pennell.
He will be sadly missed by his kids Parker, Myla and Viannah; his beloved parents Diane (Nisbet) and Will Vercoe; his sisters Janine Barton (Robert), Leslie Ackerman (Mitchell), brother, John Vercoe (Kimberly); aunt and uncle, Mary Ellen and Dave Nisbet, aunts Dayle Pennell and Dani Nisbet; and many cousins, nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog, Amber.
Our family would like to extend their thanks and support to the Westbrook Police and Rescue and to Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Purpoodock Club, 300 Spurwink Ave., Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home.
