Lisa Catherine Becker
GORHAM – Lisa Catherine Becker, 62, of Gorham, passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at the Becker family camp on Nicatous Lake (her favorite place).
Born in Bangor on Jan. 8, 1963, Lisa grew up in Tucson, Ariz. She graduated from Cornell College with a bachelor’s of science in geology.
She spent many years volunteering for teachers in Gorham Public Schools and later organizing senior citizen programming for her “Originals” at First Parish Church in Gorham. Lisa had a lifelong love of cooking and baking, stemming from her grandmother.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 38 years, Boris Becker; two children, Russell and Catie; and her sister, Kristen.
Lisa will be remembered for her kindness and the light and laughter she brought to every space she was in. Her favorite saying was “save your fork,” meaning that dessert was coming after the table was cleared.
