Jennifer Vasconcelos
FALMOUTH – Jen Vasconcelos passed in her family home on Aug. 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Vasconcelos, and their children, Dayna, Jack, and Matthew. She is also survived by her parents, Jan and Bud Sawyer; and her brothers, Scott, David, and Mark Sawyer, and their respective families.
Jen attended Falmouth Public Schools from kindergarten through high school. She met Dave when he moved to Maine and joined her 8th Grade class. Their close friendship would blossom into a loving partnership that carried them through high school, college, and a 32-year marriage. After returning from their respective colleges, Jen and Dave never left “home,” staying in Falmouth to build their life together and raise a family.
Jen had a long career as a 2nd Grade teacher in Topsham and later Falmouth. “Mrs. V” brought a genuine passion and love to her work. After over a decade of teaching, Jen lovingly closed this chapter to devote her time to raising, guiding, and supporting their children.
Many live their lives by the rule of “family first.” Jen lived by the rule of “family always.”
Jen’s warmth and love were ever-present. She lived joyously, with profound selflessness and care for others. Everyone was met with her smile and a hug.
Jen’s family owes immense gratitude to her care team at New England Cancer Specialists and Peaceful Transitions for guiding her family through her courageous multi-year cancer treatment.
