Reginald Francis Wentworth
YARMOUTH – Reginald Francis Wentworth, 90, of Yarmouth died on Friday, June 27, 2025.
“Reg” was born in Yarmouth on Jan. 11, 1935, the son of Gordon and Bernice Wentworth. He attended Yarmouth schools and after graduation worked at Rogers and Wentworth for his father, Gordon. In the ’80s, he and his brother, Richard, purchased the business and ran the business until retiring in 2005.
His hobbies were O-gauge model trains, camping, hiking, gardening, and motorcycling. After retirement, he traveled on his Gold Wing motorcycle across the United States, Canada, and Alaska several times. He traveled extensively overseas, to include countries such as Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Iceland, Ireland, Scotland and many more with close friends and his daughter Kelly.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Wentworth and his wife Phyllis; his daughters Linda Boody and husband Jeff of Carthage, N.C.; Kelly Wentworth-Lowe and her husband Danny Lowe, their two children Amanda and her husband Ryan Ravenelle of Yarmouth, and Phillip and his wife Kristen Lowe of North Yarmouth. Reg has three great-grandchildren, Abram, Reid and Owen.
Special thanks to Martin and Lisa, his neighbors who loved him and watched over him when we could not. They were always there to help him with anything he needed.
The family would like to thank the folks at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth and the Hospice of Southern Maine for the care and compassion shown to dad in his last few weeks.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service for Reg at 11 a.m. on Aug. 21, at Riverside Cemetery in Yarmouth.
