Priscilla Carole Budroe
SACO – Priscilla Carole Budroe, 84, passed away peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her beloved family by her side on August 7, 2025. She was born in Portland on Sept. 10, 1940, the daughter of Gerald and Bertha Sargent Graham, and lived a quiet life full of love, strength, kindness, selflessness and calm wisdom.
Priscilla attended primary school through college on Stevens Avenue in Portland. She was a member of the Woodford’s Congregational church growing up and was a Rainbow Girl. She was an accomplished member of the Deering High School band, where she played her favorite instrument, the saxophone, had a passion for jazz music, and enjoyed playing tennis. She worked for 40 years at Maine Medical Center in pulmonary medicine and critical care. She was a gentle soul who was a member of the Buxton Garden Club and enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, nature, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and prioritized them above all else in her life. She touched lives in ways words cannot express and will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Jean, her brother, Robert Allyn Graham, her infant son, John Michael Budroe, and two daughters, Barbara Budroe Johnson and Diana Budroe.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John A. Budroe, Jr.; a daughter Pamela Elwell and her husband Charles of Buxton, a son Robert Budroe and his wife Kimberly of Windham; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the funeral home followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland.
