A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Scarborough on Saturday evening, said Scarborough Police. 

At 6:10 p.m., Scarborough Fire and Police Departments responded to the railroad tracks near the Pine Point Road overpass to reports that a pedestrian was struck by a train. 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, said police. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time.
