ORR’S ISLAND – Neal H. Favreau, born Oct. 20, 1953, in Brunswick, died July 27, 2025, at his home on Orr’s Island after a long battle with cancer. Neal was born to Russel Favreau and Phyllis Menard Favreau, both of Brunswick.

Neal attended Brunswick schools and U.Maine Orono. He started his business Favreau Electric in 1974, Neal was a well-respected, detail oriented and extremely brilliant business man.

He loved his dogs, his home, his family and his co-workers. He married his wife Sue June 17, 1978. And they also owned the Log Cabin Inn on Bailey Island since March 13, 1980.

Neal is survived by two brothers, Larry Favreau and Mike Favreau; two sons, Matt York and Adam York; two daughters-in-laws Aimee and Tamara; three grandchildren Danny, Josh, and Frances, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Abiding by Neal’s wishes services will be celebrated privately with a small gathering of family and friends in the future.
