Portland-based Allagash Brewing Co.’s second location, The Allagash Bungalow, is slated to officially open in Scarborough on August 2.
The new tasting room, at 10 Market St., will be located in The Downs, the former racetrack that’s now a mixed use development, and will offer wine, hard cider and cocktails on draft in addition to the brewery’s beer. Bite into Maine is providing the food, including its classic and nontraditional takes on lobster rolls and other sandwiches.
The company sees the Bungalow as a community hub, not just a brewery. “Above all else, we wanted the space to feel approachable,” said Emily Wallace, Allagash hospitality director. “The name ‘The Bungalow’ also reflects this in a way that feels welcoming, but also will be something that we’re planning to deliver on with a stellar guest experience.”
The Bungalow will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m.
