Constance Helen (Berry) Looke
PORTLAND – Constance Helen Berry Looke, 93, died Monday, July 7, 2025 at The Cedars in Portland.
Connie was born on April 15, 1932 in Brewer to Raymond Pratt Berry and Emma Colcord. After graduating from Brewer High School and the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing she married Roy Otis Looke in Brewer on Nov. 26, 1953. Connie left a nursing career in 1954 to raise the couple’s children. The family moved throughout Maine to Skowhegan, Falmouth, Caribou and Cumberland following her husband’s career. She returned to nursing as her children aged, eventually spending decades teaching in the Southern Maine Community College nursing program.
Connie was predeceased by her husband Roy; a brother, John Herbert Berry and two sisters, Mary Louise Neill and Sandra Jane Penrod.
She leaves two sons, Stephen E. Looke of Montpelier, Vt., Todd B. Looke and his wife Melinda of Gorham, and a daughter, Andrea Jackson-Darling of Cape Elizabeth; five grandchildren, Nathanael Jackson and his wife Cassie, Courtney Collomy and husband Jason, Stephen A. Looke. Matthew Campbell and Jinni, and Mallory Rose; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Jackson and Emersyn Collomy.
Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation and celebration of Connie’s life on Saturday July 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Lindquist Funeral Home in Yarmouth. Interment will be private.
