Marcella Marie (Labreque) Richio
WESTBROOK – Marcella Richio, 99, of Westbrook, died July 7, 2025, at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Westbrook, attended St. Hyacinth school and Westbrook schools. She left school at the age of 16 to work in S.D. Warren Mill to contribute to her grandparents where she resided.
She happily met and wed her husband, James Richio. After raising their two children at home she worked at LaChances Drugstore and the Westbrook High School cafeteria. She then worked at Days Jewelry Store in Westbrook for many years which she enjoyed.
After her husband passed at an early age, she enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She lived a long life well lived and loved.
Marcella was predeceased by her husband, James Richio.
She is survived by her children, Stephen J. Richio (Deborah) and Madelyn St.Clair (Tom); grandchildren, Kimberley Lynes (Shawn), Dan St.Clair, Gianni Richio (Laura), Jamey Scaggs (Jeff), Stephanie Richio and Nick Richio; great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Colby, Brady (Lynes), Andrew, Abigial (St.Clair), Ariana LeClair, Jordan Skaggs, Rianna Skaggs, Braeden Skaggs
The family would like to send a “thanks” to Maine Medical Center ICU especially to Lorrie and Alison for their loving care and compassion.
Mass will be held Friday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Church in Westbrook.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund or request a Mass Card in Marcella’s name.
