Michael E. Fisher
POLAND – Michael E. Fisher, 66, of Poland, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
Born on March 18, 1959, in Portland, Michael was the son of Richard and Lela Swett. He graduated from Deering High School in 1978. Shortly after, he met the love of his life, Pamela, and the two were married in 1982. Together, they built a life in Windham and raised two daughters, Rebecca and Aimee.
Mike spent many years working in computer software at Logical Solutions before pursuing his passion for the outdoors and starting A Plus Landscaping. He had a love for working with his hands, gardening, and creating beautiful spaces.
Affectionately known as “Fishman,” Mike had a magnetic personality and a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He found joy in fishing, boating, barbecuing, and hosting gatherings at his cherished home on Little Sebago Lake. His laughter and warm spirit filled every room.
Mike adored his daughters and was a proud “Papa” to his grandsons Nicholas, Avery, and Brookston. Another passion was golf—he played often and especially enjoyed trips with friends to Sugarloaf and rounds with his grandson, Nick. His golf clubs were never far behind on any trip.
An avid traveler, Mike loved exploring places like Sanibel Island, Arizona, and Mexico, always eager to learn about the places he visited. A lifelong sports fan, he was a devoted Red Sox and Cowboys supporter and loved watching golf, even replays.
He is survived by his daughters; grandsons; siblings; and extended family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pamela; and his parents.
Mike will be remembered for his generous heart, contagious smile, and unwavering love for family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
