BRUNSWICK – Gloria D. Moody Elwell, 85, passed away Sunday June 29, 2025 at Horizon’s Senior Living with her family by her side.
Gloria was born on Aug. 15, 1939 to Lilla (Ward) and Daniel Moody of Brunswick. She attended Brunswick Schools until she married the love of her life James M. Elwell Jr. on Oct. 29, 1956 at Berean Baptist Church and remained married 60 years until James (Beaver, Buck) passed away in June of 2017. She worked from home and at Yankee Lanes most of her adult life until she retired. She always had a smile for everyone and loved music, seafood, Jesus and spending time with her family.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband James; two sons, James D. and Michael D; her mom, dad; two sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her two children, Lynn Creamer and her husband Roland of Bath and Keith Elwell and his partner Sonya of Brunswick; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Bath/Brunswick Salvation Army at 25 Congress Ave. Bath, on July 15 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to The Bath Brunswick Salvation Army.
