Newcastle farm Singing Pastures has won two business competitions for its meat snack sticks.

The farm, owned by John and Holly Arbuckle, won $25,000 in Greenlight Maine, a reality TV series where entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to a panel of judges and compete for prize money. The couple also won $5,000 in the Naturally New England Pitch Slam Competition, an annual event where up-and-coming brands pitch their ideas to experts in the natural products industry. Their win also earned them a spot at the national competition, Naturally Rising, in August.

The brand is known for its Roam Sticks, which are meat sticks made from pasture-raised pork. Since it was founded in 2016, the Singing Pastures brand has earned $2.8 million, according to a press release. The meat sticks are available online and at Reny’s and Hannaford. The same release noted that Singing Pastures is looking to reach women and Gen Z consumers.

“We’re thrilled and deeply honored to have won these pitch competitions, including the newest win for Greenlight Maine,” the couple said in the press release. “This experience has been both energizing and affirming for Singing Pastures.”
