Mildred F. (Moody) Beaudoin

WINDHAM – Mildred “Milly” Beaudoin, 77, of Windham, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, after a month of declining health, with her loving family at her side. Born on June 9, 1948, Milly spent most of her life in Windham, where she raised her family and built a home alongside her husband of 54 years, Roger F. Beaudoin Sr.

The second eldest of six siblings, Milly grew up in a close-knit family in Harpswell. She had a passion for cake decorating and took pride in creating beautiful wedding cakes for family and friends. She was equally gifted with a needle and thread, spending countless hours sewing and crafting handmade doll clothes. Milly was a hard worker who spent many years employed at Shaw’s supermarket. She took real pride in her work and built lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike. But it was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, who brought her the greatest joy. She celebrated every milestone and cherished each moment spent with them.

Milly married her childhood sweetheart, Roger F. Beaudoin Sr., on July 3, 1965, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Brunswick. Their love story spanned 54 years. When Roger passed away in 2019, a part of Milly went with him.

She lived with mental illness for much of her life, a struggle that she managed in different ways over the years. Sometimes it was well-hidden, sometimes it was too heavy to carry alone, and often, her family stepped in to help shoulder the weight. By including this part of her story, her family hopes to honor her truth and help others feel less alone in their own struggles.

Milly is survived by her children, Roger Beaudoin Jr. and wife Justine of Gray, Tiffany Racine and husband James of Dayton, and Tara Beaudoin-Ambrose and husband Anthony of Saco. She leaves behind her seven beloved grandchildren, Kimberlyn (Nick) Gallant, Cassandra Beaudoin, Trevor, Carter, and Sydney Haller, Regan, and Eirnan Ambrose; and one great-granddaughter, Mae Beaudoin Gallant. She is also survived by her siblings Verna (Don) Raye, Sue Gaydos, Nelson (Karen) Moody, Alice (Russell) Stevens, her sisters-in-law, Karen Sheets Moody, and Marian Beaudoin, as well as her brother-in-law, Raymond (Jeannette) Beaudoin,; goddaughter, Danielle Moody; and many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great- nieces and nephews.

Milly was predeceased by her husband, Roger F. Beaudoin Sr.; parents, Ernest and Irene Moody; and brother, Rodney Moody, as well as brothers-in-law Gary Gaydos, Benoit Beaudoin, and sister-in-law, Nancy McKissick.

Milly’s family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with Roger, the love of her life. Together again, just one day before what would have been their 60th wedding anniversary.

Milly’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Atlantic House for the care and support shown to her over the last year and a half. A special thank you to Lacey, for always being there to give a hug or support when Milly needed it the most. In her final days, the team at Seal Rock provided care and compassion, especially Nick, who formed a genuine bond with Milly that brought her comfort.

Milly’s visiting hours will be in Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, on Sunday, July 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in West Harpswell Cemetery will be private.

Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Stetson’s Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
