Linda Loring

PARSONSFIELD – Linda Loring passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.

She was the only child of Linwood and June Robinson. Born in Portland on Jan. 16, 1947, she graduated from Scarborough High School in 1965, where she was voted Most Athletic. Linda was a compassionate, thoughtful, and kind-hearted soul.

After graduation, she worked at Fairchild Semiconductor, where she was introduced to Fred Loring, the man she would marry. Together, they raised three children in their Buxton home. Linda loved gardening, cooking, and making people feel happy. She especially enjoyed boating with her family, charting the waters along the Maine and New England coasts. She also owned and operated a popular convenience store in Windham.

Linda is survived by her children: Scott Loring (Deanna), Kelly Loring McMillen (Dan), and Robyn Loring Joyce; her six grandchildren: Brittney Hall, Victoria Loring, Harrison Loring, Hannah Joyce, Abigail Joyce, and Liam Joyce; and her three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Charlotte, and Calvin.

A private ceremony will be held by the family. We are grateful to have been part of her life. We love you, Mom! Thank you for everything you gave us – your love, hugs, kisses, laughter, your encouragement to explore the world, and your compassion for every living being.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Gosnell and Ledgewood for their comfort and support.
