George R. Potter
BRUNSWICK – George R. Potter of Brunswick, passed away on June 25, 2025, at Mere Point Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was born April 29, 1936, in Concord, New Hampshire, to Robert Potter and Olive Weatherbee Potter. In 1948, George’s family moved to Wareham, Massachusetts. George graduated from Wareham High School in 1956.
Following graduation, he entered the Air Force.
In November 1976, he married Anita Laferriere Cloutier. She predeceased him in 1998.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Joyce Cloutier Tupper of South Portland and stepson Gerard Cloutier of Bowdoinham. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several cousins.
George’s graveside service with military honors will be July 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., in Central Cemetery, 74 Central Street, East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Stetson’s Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick, Maine.
