Joseph Maurice Brideau
WINDHAM – Joseph “Skeeter” Maurice Brideau, 75, died peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on June 22, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born in Fitchburg, Mass., he was the son of Estelle (Bergeron) Brideau and Joseph Maurice Brideau.
Joe met the love of his life, Janet (Farr) Brideau, in 1972 and were married in Winchester, Mass. in 1977. They settled in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass. to raise their family.
Joe is survived by his wife Janet (Farr) Brideau; daughter, Meghann Amanda Batista (Brideau), her husband Matthew of Naples, Jonathan Joseph Brideau, his wife Jessica of Beverly, Mass., and Shaun Nicolas Brideau of Beverly, Mass. Joe was also “Pops” to Jonathan and Jessica’s children, Joseph Anthony (7), Rosalie Elizabeth (5), and Vivienne Angelina (3). He is also survived by his brother, Patrick Michael Brideau, his wife Shirley of Fitchburg, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Rose (Brideau) Infantino and brother, Thomas Henry Brideau.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday Aug. 16 at The Tuck’s Point Chowder House in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass.
