Reno J. Pelletier
BIDDEFORD – With wishes for more fishing adventures, but having been sick for quite awhile, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, it was Reno’s time to leave his loved ones on this earth. Reno was Catholic and it’s lovely to think about him joining his wife who he loved so much, his father, grandparents and many other loved ones.
Reno was born on May 18, 1952, to Viola Hebert Pelletier and Abel Pelletier in Frenchville, Maine of Acadian descent along the St. John Valley. He married the love of his life, Margaret Gagnon, of Madawaska, Maine when he was 19 and they lived together until her death at age 61. They did not have children. They happily opened their home to siblings and nieces/nephews.
Reno lived in the Bangor area for most of his life. He worked as a construction contractor and also did heavy construction work on paper mills and airport buildings where he was foreman. The name of his business which he had for many years was Eastern Home Improvements.
Reno loved cooking with his wife and enjoyed their pets, Benji and Pete. He enjoyed traveling and especially hunting and fishing. The last ten years of his life were spent living in Southern Maine to be closer to family after his wife passed away.
Reno is preceded in death by his father, Abel. He is survived by his mother, Viola; brother, Roger and his wife Maureen, brother, Joel and his wife Sandra, sister, Lisa and her husband Allan; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a small gathering of the immediate family at a later date in honor of Reno’s memory. His ashes will be spread at a Maine lake of his choice. A plaque in his memory will be placed at his father’s gravesite in the Madawaska cemetery.
