Chad Raynard Grover
WATERBORO – Chad Raynard Grover, 44, passed away at MaineHealth – Biddeford on June 17, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on Feb. 11, 1981, in Pittsfield, Maine, the son of Raynard Grover and Debora Dennison Godbout.
Chad was a 1999 graduate of Massabesic High School. He served in the US Air Force as a Munitions Systems Journeyman and did two tours in Qatar after 9/11 for Operation Enduring Freedom. After his service, he worked as a self-employed painter and arborist. He enjoyed reading, trivia, and spending time with his son and family. He loved playing and watching sports, especially wrestling with his brother.
He was predeceased by his cousin Jason Steeves.
Chad is survived by his mother Debora Godbout and her husband Thomas of Steep Falls, his father Raynard Grover of Augusta; his son Chad Grover of Steep Falls, a daughter Alexis Libby of Biddeford, his brother Carlton Grover and his wife Sarom and their sons Tanner and Landon of North Waterboro; sisters Annie Brickey and her husband Robert and their daughter Jade of Cabot, Vt., Camille Grover of Augusta, Rayemarie Grover of Augusta, Angel Trask and her children Gary and Ava of Augusta, and Jessica Hanson and her husband Travis of Haverhill, NH; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at South Buxton Cemetery, 1187 River Road, Buxton. Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, Buxton is respectfully handling the arrangements.
The family would like to thank MaineHealth – Biddeford for their dignity and grace with Chad’s care.
