Michael George Powers
WESTBROOK – Michael George Powers, 78, of Westbrook, died on Friday June 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family and his beloved dog Rusty.
Michael was born in Westbrook on Dec. 18, 1946, the son of George and Irene (Gregoire) Powers. He attended local schools and after graduation served in the United States Navy. He worked for 35 years at B and M baked beans where he met many life long friends. On June 2, 1979, Michael married Marilyn Britting.
Michael was a member of the American Legion Post #197. He enjoyed his motorcycle, snowmobiles, camping, and scuba diving. He took pride in his home and kept his lawn mowed and looking good. Michael liked dogs and spent time volunteering at the Animal Refugee League of Westbrook. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren who he devoted all his time to.
Michael is survived by his wife Marilyn, his sister Sharon Landon and her husband Rick of Falmouth; his daughter Lisa Severino and her husband Dan of Falmouth and their kids Dominic, Tony and Ava, his daughter Michelle Meliota of Windham and her kids Reese, Avery and Paisley, and his son Chris Aiken of Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his parents George and Irene Powers.
