I find it shamefully ironic that 85 years after the genocide of Jewish people and others by the Nazis, the Israeli government behaves in the same way. No ovens, just bombs and missiles.
I remind those who remain ignorant that this mess was created in 1947 with the Balfour Declaration by Britain. Then came the settlers and expansions and more.
Today, it is our guns and bombs killing tens of thousands of Palestinian people. This is the reaction to the Warsaw Uprising.
Slaughter is slaughter. If this country ever gains a sanity, the arms industry must be a target. No more exporting death for a profit. Tell the Israelis and others they will have to get their death machines somewhere else. We demand a culture that respects all lives, not just those of a chosen few.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
