Dana E. Sukeforth
YORK – Dana E. Sukeforth, 86 of Hilltop Drive went home to his savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday June 11, 2025.
He was born March 1, 1939, at home in Palermo, to parents Cedric E. and Thelma Day Sukeforth.
Dana was a fun, spirited man who loved to enjoy his family and friends. He enjoyed vacations with his wife and family. Always ready for a big laugh and to lend a helping hand. His generosity spread to those who knew him.
Dana was an U.S. Air Force veteran serving his country in Kansas and Alaska before moving back home to Bath. He worked at Bath Iron Works for two years then moved to York to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, serving for 27 years, retiring to spend summers in York and winters in Florida.
Dana is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Judy Morse Sukeforth; his son, Dwane Sukeforth and his wife Sue; his daughters, Tamela Eldridge and her husband Thomas and Kristen; and seven grandchildren that always brought joy to him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church at 12 p.m., on Monday June 16. Burial with Military Honors will follow the church services at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath, with a reception to follow at the West Bath Fire Department.
