Ruth Elaine (White) Dobson
HOPKINTON, N.H. – Ruth Elaine (White) Dobson, 95, of Hopkinton, N.H., formerly of Portland, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at Pine Rock Manor in Warner, N.H.
She was born in Portland on Nov. 11, 1929, to Winfield and Edith White. She worked for several years as a nurse at Maine Medical Center. Ruth married her husband Ernest in 1952. She enjoyed antiquing, shopping, bowling, and spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her four children, her daughter, Elaine Dobson Collins of Warner, N.H., her daughter, Debra Jean Fornier of Salisbury, N.H., her son, David Winfield Dobson of Gilmanton, N.H. and her son, Brian Joseph Dobson and his wife Donna of Washington, N.H.; her eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest.
A graveside funeral service for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, June 24, at 12 p.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery, 9 Waites Landing Rd., Falmouth, ME 04105.
