Richard Fleurant
BIDDEFORD – Richard Fleurant, of Biddeford, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Portland. He was born on Jan. 22, 1936, to Thomas and Arline (Clair) Fleurant. Richard graduated from Biddeford High School with the class of 1955.
He served in the United States Army and later worked for three years at Prescott Metal. He then spent over 23 years as a counselor at Mount St. John’s School for Boys in Connecticut. He also worked for many years at Doc’s Tavern in Biddeford. He was a member of the AMVETS and an avid sports fan.
Richard was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Thomas Fleurant; and his sister-in-law, Lorraine.
He is survived by his brother, Steven Fleurant; and his nephews David Fleurant and Scott Fleurant.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at Doc’s Tavern in Biddeford. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
