Mary E. (Cahill) Feeney
FALMOUTH – Mary Feeney, 93, passed away on May 22, 2025, at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough.
Mary was born in Mars Hill on Nov. 16, 1931, graduated high school and moved to Portland at the age of 17 to attend Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
Mary lived most of her life in Portland, Yarmouth and Falmouth. She enjoyed her career as a Registered Nurse, working for many years at Mercy and Maine Medical Hospitals as an RN. She had a caring heart.
She always enjoyed baking, selling/buying antiques and knitting until her last days. She looked forward to her daily phone calls with her sister, Christine.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Joseph Feeney, in 1973; parents Frederick Glen and Josephine Mary Cahill; two brothers, Tom Chill and Charles Cahill, and three sisters, Marguerite Brown, Judy Tame, Sandra Richards.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Feeney (Robert), two sons, Edward Feeney (Amy) and Matthew Feeney; five grandchildren, Hillary (Allen), Elizabeth (Kelly), Allyson (Charlie), Noah, Bayleigh; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Andrew, Lucas, Sage and Colby and Sister Christine Shuman.
A family graveside service will be held June 20 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yarmouth.
