Kevin Campbell
PORTLAND – Kevin Campbell, 66, of Portland, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, after a very brief battle with cancer. Known affectionately as “Kev” “Fletcher” “Dad” “Binky” “Campbell” “Coach”, and many other names, he was a kind and loving man who opened his heart and his home to many.
He was married to Linda, the love of his life, for over 40 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children and welcomed the joy of three grandchildren into their lives.
A caring and ever-present father and husband, Kevin was the steady hand and warm smile that held his family together. His unwavering support and gentle wisdom will be deeply missed.
Kevin was a dedicated soccer and track coach at Lincoln Middle School and Deering High School for over 20 years. He found immense joy and purpose in working with his athletes, and we want to thank each of them for the inspiration, laughter, and memories they shared with him.
An avid golfer, Kevin was a member of Riverside Golf Course, where he spent many happy hours on the greens with friends.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Linda O’Donnell Campbell; his daughter, Julie-Beth Blancas-Ruiz, her husband Zoram, and their daughters Zoe and Marilynn; his son, Derek Campbell, his wife Jennifer, and their son, Owen. He also leaves behind countless friends, former students, athletes, and extended family whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.
The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support we have received at this time, and the love he received over these many years from his friends, his family and his athletes. We would like to especially thank the wonderful people at the Gosnell House who gave their care and support to not only Kevin, but his family as well.
Kevin’s family will be having a visitation, and a Mass of Christian Burial. Please check http://www.jonesrichandbarnes.com on Monday for dates and times.
