Greg Vining
CUMBERLAND – Greg Vining, 67, died peacefully at his home on June 6, 2025. He was born on Nov. 28, 1957, in Portland, the son of Carroll and Claire Vining. He spent his youth in Falmouth, graduating from Falmouth High School in 1976.
Greg worked as an Associate Engineer for the City of Portland. He owned and operated Vining’s Choose and Cut Tree Farm for 15 years. He loved watching the turkeys outside, working in his garden and mowing his lawn with his John Deere mower. Greg made many friends over the years and left a lasting impression on the lives he touched in the community.
Greg is survived by his two daughters, Andrea Vining of Waterboro and Carol Redfern of Gray; and his grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Neal Vining and sister, Janet Vining.
A special thank you to his healthcare aide, Alisa Dunham, for her superb care and service.
Private graveside services for Greg will be held at Moss Side Cemetery in Cumberland.
