Blake Wehunt struck out 13 and allowed only three hits over seven innings, leading the Portland Sea Dogs to a 7-2 win over the Somerset Patriots in an Eastern League game Saturday night in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Allan Castro’s two-run homer in the first inning gave Portland a lead it would never relinquish.

Drew Ehrhard was a home run shy of a cycle, and Izzy Alcantara also had three hits, including a triple. Tyler Miller added two doubles.

After Caleb Bolden pitched a scoreless first inning, Wehunt took over and held Somerset to one hit through the next five innings.
