Kenneth S. Leeman Sr.

HARPSWELL – Kenneth “Ken” S. Leeman Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, peacefully passed away on Nov. 12, 2024, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick Maine.

Born on Sept. 6, 1942, in Brunswick, Maine, to Norman Leeman and Louise Leeman, he was a testament to the spirit of his community. For over 30 years, Ken dedicated his professional life to serving the public as a Mechanic at Bill’s Garage in West Bath Maine, where he made many Friends and lots of conversations.

Ken was also proud about being in the United States Army Reserve for 3 years, achieving the rank of Specialist Five (E5) Class. His service to his country was a point of pride for him and further illustrated his dedication to the community he loved.

Ken was a simple man finding joy in the simplest pleasures of life. He cherished the time spent hunting for treasures at Flea Markets and Storage Auction sites, Ken loved being at the Elks Club in Bath, Maine. He held many positions there. He was always there every meeting, and he would just go in to talk and have a soda on a Friday night.

Ken is survived by his children, Donna Tolley and her husband Eric of Maryland, James Leeman of Maine, Beth Maffett and her husband Brad of Delaware, Herbert Reynolds and his wife Emmanuella of Maine, Corinna Mcintire of North Carolina, Ronnie Reynolds and his wife Esther of Ohio, Priscella Driscoll of Maine and Kenneth Scott Leeman Jr. of New Mexico. Ken is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his brother Victor Leeman and his wife, sister Linda Strickland and her husband, sister Ann Bassett and sister Evelyn Smith

Ken was predeceased by his loving wife, Clara Leeman, who he married on June 12, 1977. She passed away on June 15, 2012, and his parents Norman and Louise Leeman, a son Roy Leeman, a brother Thomas Leeman and sister Marion Allen. Although they are no longer with us, their spirits remain intertwined in the hearts of those who loved Ken.

A service celebrating Ken’s extraordinary life will be held at the Bath Lodge of Elks Club #934 at 9 Lambard St., Bath, Maine, on June 21, 2025, between 1 and 3 pm all are welcome for food and drink. A private service will be held after at Cranberry Horn Cemetery for Family only. The gathering will serve as a tribute to a man who found immense joy in the everyday moments and whose legacy will continue to shine bright through the lives he touched.
