Elizabeth Ann McKinnon

SACO – Elizabeth Ann McKinnon, 86, of Saco, passed away on May 26, 2025, after a brief illness at her home with loved ones. She was born Feb. 28, 1939, to William and Helen Treadwell.

She graduated from Thornton Academy in 1957. She married her high-school sweetheart John on July 24, 1957, and had seven children. She loved to crochet, knit and counted cross stitch. She made afghans for just about anyone she knew. Everyone that met her fell in love with her. She was a sweet and gentle soul.

She was predeceased by her husband, John McKinnon Sr. of 67 years; her parents William and Helen Treadwell of Saco; her sons Timothy McKinnon of Biddeford, and Kevin McKinnon of Buxton.

She is survived by a brother William Treadwell of Old Orchard Beach; daughter Linda Rudy (Dan) of Lisbon Falls, son John McKinnon Jr of Pennsylvania, son Ronald McKinnon (Maria) of Texas, son Everett McKinnon of Saco and daughter Wendy Silva of Saco. She has 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 1 from 1 – 3 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Burial will be aside her husband at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday June 3 at 1 p.m.
