The Brunswick Hotel and its restaurant officially reopened last week after undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation over the past three months.
All 51 rooms and suites in the hotel were updated, as well as the lobby, common spaces and the hotel’s exterior. The hotel’s restaurant, Noble Kitchen & Bar, is also debuting a new menu, updated amenities and a redesigned bar, according to a news release.
The hotel, which opened in summer 2011, closed for renovations in February.
Noble’s new menu, created by executive chef Ken Burkett and bar program director Lauren Williamson, includes classics like burgers, clam chowder and fish and chips, and new plates like pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto cakes and ramp fettuccine with clams.
The hotel and restaurant reopened to guests on May 16, with an official grand opening celebration on May 20. Noble Kitchen & Bar is now open to the public and hotel guests for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The Brunswick is located at 4 Noble St. near the intersection of Maine Street and Bath Road and across from the Bowdoin College campus.

In a prepared statement, general manager Kate Stanek Gleason said locals and visitors alike will be excited by the hotel and restaurant’s redesign.
“We are emerging from our winter hibernation into spring with a truly transformative new look and feel to The Brunswick Hotel,” Stranek said. “Our new logo, new website, all new room design, lobby design and meeting space interiors is something that has exceeded our expectations and we’re excited to welcome our guests back to The Brunswick Hotel and Noble Kitchen & Bar with a new look that honors our sense of place in the community and the quality, comfort and elegance of stay our guests deserve.”
Correction: Due to a reporting error, a previous version of this article incorrectly stated the year the hotel was founded. A reference to “1739” on the hotel’s logo refers to the Town of Brunswick’s founding year.
