Peter Rodney Waterhouse
WINDHAM – Peter Rodney Waterhouse, a cherished resident of Pope Road, died peacefully at home on April 22, 2025. Peter lived a life filled with love for nature, family and friends.
Born in Westbrook on Feb. 16, 1964, he was the son of Rodney and Janet (Hansen) Waterhouse. He was educated in The Windham school system, graduating from Windham High School.
Peter was a single father who loved his daughter unconditionally. Peter worked as a limousine driver for Vacationland Tours and Shuttle for the entire time of its operation. Peter then worked for B.J.’s Tire Service until he retired.
Peter is survived by his daughter, Cassaundra Waterhouse; his mother, Janet Waterhouse, his father, Rodney Waterhouse; his sister, Wendy Miller and nephews and niece, Darrell Waterhouse, Roddrick Miller, Patience Miller.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Elmer Hansen, his maternal grandmother, Marjorie B. Hansen, and his paternal grandmother, Florence Waterhouse.
A man of many passions, Peter found immense joy in being outdoors. His love for camping and canoeing was well known among his friends and family who often joined him on adventures under the sky. Peter’s garden was his sanctuary. He spent countless hours nurturing his garden, a testament to his patience and care. Peter was an avid collector of comic books, figurines, rare cordials, smiley faces, etc. He also loved bowling and going to the Drive-In. He was extremely fond of, and talented at cooking, making his recipes and sharing them with friends and family.
He enjoyed many hours with friends and family at his firepit.
A celebration of life, a firepit party, will be held at his property on Mimi Lane in Windham on June 21, from 5 to 10 p.m. (rain date: June 28). All friends are welcome to come. For more information contact Cassie at 207-310-3176.
